Semínima Bar was founded focusing on providing a unique gastronomy experience for new visitors coming to town as well as refining locals taste and making them rediscover the delicious local ingredients.
In Brazil, especially, bars are always a fun place where every people share experiences and spare time together. Moreover, it is a typical place where Brazilian traditional genre of music, samba, is also enjoyed. For Semínima Bar, taking Simão background as a canvas, who is a bossa nova lover, I designed a visual identity that would live among music and people. As for the combination of branding and customer experience inside the bar, I designed a system that is warming and accessible and not too fancy because the core of Brazilian music is pretty simple and welcoming. The bar also has live shows and acoustic sessions in the open hours (tending to extend to a festival soon) for professional and amateurs musicians whether local or visitors. The layout was designed with scores in mind and aiming at the proximity of people and music because Brazilian music is iconic and a source for a variety of new, modern and classical things, matching with the Bohemian atmosphere of Santa Teresa.
